This Walnut Victorian bedroom set is in very nice condition for it age. The white and grey marble shows only normal signs of use having some slight discoloration. But no cracks or breaks. There is a repair to the footboard which is very sturdy and secure, not an issue and not very noticable~see picture#4. In nouveau ... more style, a most unusual color wood, and it comes with two oversized twin beds that can be made into a king size bed if desired, an extra large triple beveled glass vanity, a five-drawer tall swell front extra large beveled glass gentleman's chest, and an oversized four-drawer bow front chest with the largest beveled glass mirror you've seen in a long time. The wood looks like mahogany, in a light brown finish, and is all original except for the tops of the three case pieces, which we re-sprayed. The whole bed has gold carvings on it, accented, and every piece of the set has gold edging highlighted on all the grooves, moldings, crests, and carvings, right down to the flute style finials. The set is just of unbelievable quality, with everything extra large, well built, and the best that was offered at the time. The cast brass hardware is thick and bold, the escutcheons are amazing, and on the entire set, there are two replacement bales. The back plates are still original, and no one will ever notice. There have been a few touch ups here and there, and there are age marks, nicks and dings, but nothing serious, but showing that the set is from the 1880s or'90s.
